Appliances

Packing Tips for Appliances

Refrigerator

Do NOT unplug it. Unplugging causes condensation, which leads to water leaking during transport.

Empty all contents. Spilled sauces or broken bottles can damage the fridge or stain the truck.

Washing Machine

Remove all clothes and items inside. Leave the cord and hoses connected — our crew will handle disconnection.

Microwave

Our crew will wrap it. Leave it as is.

Rice Cooker, Toaster, Electric Kettle

Pack these in cardboard boxes yourself.

TV

Disconnect all cables except the power cord and put them in a box. If your TV is on a stand, leave it — our crew will remove it.

PC & Monitor

Put all cables in a box. If the PC tower doesn't fit in a box, leave it as is.

If using a monitor arm, remove the monitor and pack the arm and cables in a box.

Important

If it fits in a cardboard box, pack it in one.

Take photos of cable connections before unplugging — makes reconnecting much easier.

Furniture

Packing Tips for Furniture

Bed

If it has drawers, empty them and pack contents in boxes.

Remove bed covers/sheets and pack them in boxes.

Table / Desk

If it has drawers, empty and pack contents in boxes.

Bookshelf / Rack

Remove all items and pack them in boxes.

Sofa

If it has a removable cover, take it off and pack it in a box.

Important

IKEA furniture may not be reassembled after disassembly. Please let us know in advance.

Boxes

Cardboard Box Packing Tips

Size Guide

100-size (small): Books, dishes, seasonings — heavy items

120-size (large): Clothes, daily items — light items

How to Assemble Boxes

Seal the bottom with tape in a cross pattern for strength.

Seal the top with a single I-line of tape.

Never fold flaps without tape — the bottom will open during transport.

Labeling

Write the contents and destination room on the top and side of each box.

Dishes

Wrap each plate individually with newspaper.

Fill the inside of glasses with cushioning.

Stack plates vertically — they're less likely to break.

How Many Boxes? (Single person)

Studio: 10–15 boxes

1K–1DK: 15–20 boxes

Important

Do NOT use oversized boxes (160-size+) — they will break under weight.

Never pack items in plastic bags. They can't be stacked in the truck and may tear, causing damage.
